The Billboard Hall of Fame Award celebrates a career that goes beyond musical performance, recognizing the extraordinary global influence of an artist across multiple fields. The honor is reserved for artists who have achieved worldwide recognition for their work while transcending musical genres and languages.
Rosalía is one of the most distinctive and influential artists in global music, continually challenging conventions through a fearless fusion of traditional rhythms, contemporary sounds and a singular visual identity. Her breakthrough album, El Mal Querer, reimagined flamenco for a new generation and established the Spanish singer, songwriter and producer as an artist unafraid to reshape tradition through her own creative lens.
With Motomami, Rosalía pushed those boundaries even further, writing, performing, recording and producing the album herself. The project earned her first entry on the all-genre Billboard 200, debuting in the top 40 in 2022, and debuted at No. 1 on the Top Latin Pop Albums chart, where it spent 25 weeks at the top between 2022-23. The album also reached No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Album Chart and led to her sold-out Motomami World Tour, further cementing her status as a global artist whose work connects with audiences across cultures and languages.
Her latest album, LUX, released in 2025, represents her most ambitious project to date and continues her remarkable artistic evolution. The album earned Rosalía her first top 10 on the Billboard 200, debuting at No. 4, while also scoring five No. 1 debuts on the Billboard charts: Top Latin Albums, Top Latin Pop Albums, Classical Albums, Classical Crossover and World Albums. LUX also earned recognition from leading publications including Billboard, The New York Times, Pitchfork and The New Yorker as one of the year’s best albums. Rosalia recently wrapped her LUX Tour, completing 57 sold-out dates and further underscoring the album’s global impact.
