MIAMI — Juanes traded the concert stage for morning television Tuesday, spending an extended visit at Univision’s Despierta América studios in Doral, where the Colombian superstar mixed career talk with an unusually personal look at the family behind the music.

During the appearance, Juanes discussed his marriage, children, the loss of his parents and his evolving perspective on a career that has made him one of Latin music’s most enduring global stars. Univision devoted multiple segments to the singer, including a 17-minute sit-down centered on his family and music.

One of the morning’s most intimate moments came when Juanes removed his jacket and revealed tattoos honoring his late mother and father, proudly showing the portraits on his arms while discussing their lasting influence on his life.

The appearance also comes as Juanes prepares to hit the road. His 2026 world tour includes more than 50 dates, with a 29-city North American leg launching Sept. 3 in Orlando. Miami follows Sept. 4 with a hometown-area stop at Kaseya Center.

For Juanes, the Despierta América visit offered something beyond the usual promotional stop: a candid snapshot of an artist looking forward to new music and another major tour while appearing equally comfortable reflecting on the family, losses and relationships that shaped the man behind the hits.
