Lin-Manuel and Catherine Laga'aia Visit 'Despierta America'

Disney’s highly anticipated live-action Moana made a splash at Despierta América in Doral as Lin-Manuel Miranda and star Catherine Lagaʻaia visited the morning show to share an exclusive look at the upcoming adventure. Miranda, who penned the unforgettable songs for the original animated classic and returns as an executive producer while contributing new music, praised Lagaʻaia’s performance as the fearless Moana. The film follows the young wayfinder as she embarks on an epic ocean voyage with Maui to protect her island and embrace her destiny. Moana arrives exclusively in theaters on July 10, 2026.
