Gloria Trevi is taking an old-school approach to generating buzz around her latest musical era.

The Mexican pop icon has rolled out eye-catching pink billboards promoting “Pompas de Jabón,” her recently released single, with a message aimed directly at her loyal fanbase: “Si estás leyendo esto… Trevilanders, tengo algo que contarte” — “If you’re reading this… Trevilanders, I have something to tell you.”

Instead of directing fans to a website or streaming platform, the billboard prominently displays a telephone number, (956) 903-2550, turning the outdoor campaign into an interactive tease. Fans calling the number have reportedly been greeted by a recorded message from Trevi and given an opportunity to leave their own message.

“Pompas de Jabón,” released July 31, serves as the first single from Trevi’s forthcoming 15th studio album, expected in 2027. The track has also gained traction across social media, boosted by creators including Aarón Mercury.

The campaign blends decidedly retro marketing — billboards and a telephone hotline — with the viral mechanics of the TikTok era.

For Trevi, it’s another reminder that sometimes the best way to get fans talking is to leave them wondering what comes next.
