Updated: Oct 13

The mother-daughter duo will headline Gloria Estefan and Emily Estefan: A Night of Rhythm and Storytelling on Monday, March 8, 2027 at 7:30 p.m., bringing together several chapters of the Estefan family’s musical legacy for the New York engagement.
The program will feature Miami Sound Machine, along with members of the world-premiere cast and orchestra of Basura, the new musical featuring music and lyrics by Gloria and Emily Estefan.
Cynthia Meng will serve as musical director and conductor, with Paraguay’s Recycled Orchestra of Cateura also set to appear. The orchestra’s story helped inspire Basura, which recently received its world premiere at Atlanta’s Alliance Theatre.
The Carnegie Hall date puts Gloria’s landmark Miami Sound Machine catalog alongside her latest theatrical collaboration with Emily, marking a rare New York stage appearance bringing the two generations of Estefans together.
