MIAMI — Chef Yisus is back on daytime television — and this time he’s cooking up a new chapter at Telemundo.
Jesús “Chef Yisus” Díaz has officially joined En Casa con Telemundo, marking his return to a major Spanish-language network after becoming a familiar face to millions of viewers during his years on Univision’s Despierta América.
The popular Venezuelan chef made his debut on the Telemundo afternoon show on August 6, joining Carlos Adyan, Chiky Bombom, Aleyda Ortiz and Gabriel Coronel. His new role is expected to go beyond the kitchen, with Yisus contributing his signature humor, personality and lifestyle expertise to the program.
The move represents something of a television homecoming for the chef, who built a loyal following during seven years on Despierta América before departing the Univision morning show in 2024.
More recently, Yisus returned to the TelevisaUnivision family as part of the reality competition Garra vs. Veneno: Guerreros Mundiales, although an injury forced him to leave the competition.
Now, he’s trading the obstacle course for the Telemundo studios.
With his energetic personality and established fan base, Chef Yisus could become a valuable addition to the network’s growing roster of daytime personalities — and his new role may open the door to appearances across other Telemundo programs and specials.
For Chef Yisus, it looks like there’s a new kitchen in town.
