Buchanan’s & Pangea Sound Close Mezclao Series In Miami With DJ Nelson, Surprise Guests Lunay & Randy Acevedo

MIAMI — Buchanan’s Blended Scotch Whisky and Latino DJ collective Pangea Sound wrapped their Mezclao global sound series at ZeyZey Miami, with Puerto Rican reggaeton pioneer DJ Nelson leading a lineup that included surprise appearances by Lunay and Randy Acevedo.
The closing celebration packed the venue with fans for a program spanning reggaeton, Brazilian funk and global club sounds, bringing together established artists and DJs connecting Latin music with the broader dance floor.
DJ Nelson anchored one of the evening’s highlights, with Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Lunay joining him behind the booth for a surprise appearance as “Soltera” played. The unannounced moment added another familiar face to a night built around musical exchange and discovery.
Randy Acevedo, one half of reggaeton duo Jowell & Randy, followed DJ Nelson’s set with a surprise appearance of his own, extending the evening’s celebration of Puerto Rican talent.

Beyond reggaeton, the lineup reflected the series’ cross-cultural approach. Sasha Marie brought her selections to the party, while Jean Sean of Miami’s Tudo Bem delivered Brazilian funk. Pangea Sound’s DJs Supernova, JOAQU.N and Falcons rounded out the program with a back-to-back session accompanied by live percussionists.
The staging carried the Mezclao concept into the room: DJs performed from Buchanan’s frutero carts transformed into booths, turning the familiar fruit-cart format into the centerpiece of the party. Guests enjoyed cocktails featuring Buchanan’s DeLuxe and Buchanan’s Coconut as the music moved across genres.
For its Miami finale, Mezclao paired reggaeton’s established names with a wider network of selectors and sounds, closing the series with a celebration of the culture’s musical range.
