Antonio Banderas is set to be honored on home turf as Premios Juventud 2026 makes its first-ever stop in Spain.
The Málaga-born actor, filmmaker and producer will receive the Agente de Cambio (Agent of Change) recognition during the September 3 ceremony at Starlite Marbella, honoring his longstanding philanthropic work and commitment to his native community.
Beyond a Hollywood career spanning more than four decades, Banderas has maintained deep ties to southern Spain through his Fundación Lágrimas y Favores, which supports education, university scholarships and social programs in Málaga. The organization has also worked with local charities assisting families and communities in need.
The honor arrives during a particularly active period for Banderas, who continues to balance international film projects with his growing presence in Spanish theater and cultural initiatives.
This year’s Premios Juventud marks a significant expansion for the Univision awards franchise, bringing the celebration outside the Americas and into Spain for the first time.
For Banderas, the Marbella recognition feels fitting: a global star being celebrated not simply for what he has accomplished on screen, but for what he continues to give back at home.
