Andy Garcia Set For Lifetime Achievement Honor As 2026 Imagen Awards Nominations Are Unveiled

The Imagen Foundation has unveiled nominations for the 41st Annual Imagen Awards, recognizing Latino talent and representation across film and television, with Apple TV’s Acapulco among this year’s leading contenders.

Andy Garcia will receive the ceremony’s Lifetime Achievement Award, marking nearly five decades in Hollywood for the Cuban-born actor, director and producer. The Oscar nominee, whose credits range from The Untouchables and The Godfather Part III to Ocean’s Eleven and Father of the Bride, also lands among this year’s Imagen nominees for his supporting turn in Landman.

Garcia, 70, continues to show his range. Most recently, he delivered a hilarious appearance in 72 Hours, alongside Kevin Hart and Marcello Hernández, leaning into comedy and playfully sending up the tough-guy persona that has followed him through some of his best-known roles.

The honor adds another milestone to a career that has made Garcia one of Hollywood’s most enduring and recognizable Latino stars.

The 2026 Imagen Awards are set for August 21 at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles.
