New York Latino Film Festival Sets 2026 Edition With ‘Otra,’ Salma Hayek’s ‘Without Blood’ Among Highlights

The New York Latino Film Festival Sets 2026 Edition, returning to Manhattan in September with more than 125 films representing nearly 20 countries and another showcase of Latino filmmaking in front of the New York industry.

Leading the lineup is the New York premiere of Otra, the feature directorial debut of Bronx native and longtime Tyler Perry collaborator Armani Ortiz. The ambitious Latino musical unfolds in a single continuous take, with music from Bad Bunny, Rosalía, Ozuna, Tainy, Marc Anthony and Aventura.

Also on the program is Angelina Jolie’s Without Blood, starring Salma Hayek Pinault and Demián Bichir, alongside Puerto Rican coming-of-age drama Summer of Three, The Buzz (El Zumbido), a short directed by La Reina del Sur star Kate del Castillo and bio-musical “Milly: Queen of Merengue” of legendary Milly Quesada.

Presented by Warner Bros. Discovery, NYLFF has grown beyond a traditional film festival into an industry platform for Latino filmmakers, actors and emerging creators. Programming spans narrative features, documentaries, shorts and digital work, continuing the festival’s mission of putting Latino voices — both established and next-generation — front and center.
