Latino Hollywood Takes Center Stage As John Leguizamo, Judy Reyes & Oscar Nuñez Set For Critics Choice Honors

The Critics Choice Association is putting Latino and Hispanic talent front and center with the honorees for its sixth annual Celebración of Cinema & Television, set for October 2 at the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills.
John Leguizamo leads this year’s class with the Career Achievement Award, recognizing more than four decades across film, television and theater, including his recent turn in Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. Judy Reyes will receive the Trailblazer Award, while The Office and The Paper star Oscar Nuñez takes the Vanguard Award.
The 2026 lineup also includes Aimee Carrero, Laysla De Oliveira, Inde Navarrette, filmmaker Beth de Araújo, producer Rodrigo Teixeira, Project Hail Mary’s James Ortiz, and directing duo Javier Calvo and Javier Ambrossi.
The annual Critics Choice event continues its mission of spotlighting Latino and Hispanic achievement both in front of and behind the camera.
