Fat Joe is bringing family, fashion and Bronx sneaker history together for his latest Nike collaboration.
The hip-hop veteran has unveiled the next Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1, appearing alongside his daughter Azzy Milan in a new campaign photographed throughout the Bronx. The father-daughter pairing gives the rollout a distinctly personal spin, with the two pictured around the neighborhood that helped shape Joe’s career — from park benches and local chicken shops to a G-Wagon.
The new “University Red” edition puts a crisp update on the classic Air Force 1, pairing University Red leather overlays and outsole with white panels, Swoosh and midsole. Terror Squad’s signature “TS” logo is embroidered on the heel, connecting the sneaker to the ultra-rare Nike pairs originally created for Joe and his crew in the early 2000s.
It’s also another full-circle moment for Joe, whose influence in sneaker culture has grown alongside his music career. He is the founder of sneaker retailer UP NYC, making the collaboration as much about entrepreneurship and New York culture as celebrity.
The Terror Squad x Nike Air Force 1 “University Red” is scheduled to drop September 9 for $150, through Nike SNKRS and UP NYC.
