2026 Latin Grammy Nominations: Edgar Barrera Leads as Karol G, Rosalía, Drexler and CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso Score Big

The nominations for the 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards are in, with hitmaker Edgar Barrera leading the field with 10 nominations and Karol G, Rosalía, Jorge Drexler and Argentine duo CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso close behind with seven nominations each. 

The Latin Recording Academy unveiled the nominations Wednesday, setting up a wide-ranging race that reflects just how international Latin music has become — spanning Colombian pop and música mexicana to Spanish alternative music, Argentine experimentation and Brazilian sounds.

Barrera, one of the industry’s most prolific songwriters and producers, enters this year’s awards with 10 nominations. His latest haul brings him to 84 career Latin Grammy nominations, according to the Los Angeles Times. 

Karol G lands among the year’s biggest artist nominees with seven nods, including Album of the Year for Tropicoqueta. Her collaboration with Mexican legend Marco Antonio Solís, “Coleccionando Heridas,” is nominated for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year. 

Rosalía is also firmly in the General Field. Her LUX (Complete Works) is nominated for Album of the Year, while “La Perla,” featuring Yahritza y Su Esencia, earned nominations for both Record and Song of the Year.

CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso continue their rapid international rise following their five-win night at the 2025 Latin Grammys. Their Free Spirits is up for Album of the Year, while “Ha Ha” competes for Record of the Year. Jorge Drexler, meanwhile, earned seven nominations of his own, including Album of the Year for Taracá and Record and Song of the Year for “¿Cómo Se Ama?” 

Silvana Estrada and Mon Laferte follow with six nominations apiece. Other major names appearing across the General Field include Anitta, Carín León, Milo J, Rawayana, Juanes, Becky G, Santana and Marco Antonio Solís. 

One particularly notable absence from the nominations is Bad Bunny. After sharing the lead with CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso with five wins at last year’s Latin Grammys — and after becoming the first Spanish-language artist to win the Grammy for Album of the Year earlier in 2026 — Bad Bunny received no nominations in this year’s Latin Grammy field.

The nominees are Anitta’s Equilibrivm; CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso’s Free Spirits; Jorge Drexler’s Taracá; Silvana Estrada’s Vendrán Suaves Lluvias; Karol G’s Tropicoqueta; Mon Laferte’s Femme Fatale; Carín León’s Muda; Milo J’s La Vida Era Más Corta; Rawayana’s ¿Dónde Es El After?; and Rosalía’s LUX (Complete Works). 

Record of the Year

CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, Jorge Drexler, Silvana Estrada, Loulu Gilberto, Karol G & Marco Antonio Solís, Mon Laferte, Carín León, Milo J, Rosalía featuring Yahritza y Su Esencia and Elena Ros make up the 10 nominees. 

Best New Artist

This year’s field includes Delilah, Fabian, Loulu Gilberto, Arath Herce, Macario Martínez, maye, Sofia Monroy, Kendall Peña, Dora Sanches, Aria Vega and Zeca Veloso. 

The 2026 nominations cover recordings released between June 1, 2025 and May 31, 2026. Final-round voting is scheduled for October 1-12. 

The 27th Annual Latin Grammy Awards will take place November 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will air live on Univision.
